One Harness. Every Hard Moment.
Six everyday moments where a second handle helps.
-
1. Getting up
Bend your knees, take a handle in each hand, and stand up together. Your dog rises level, not front-first.
-
2. Stairs
Walk a step behind and keep a hand on the rear handle to steady the back legs, at your dog's pace.
-
3. The car
Front end up first, then lift the rear by its handle into the back seat or cargo area.
-
4. Bathroom trips
The belly is fully open, so the harness stays on in the yard. No unbuckling with a dog waiting.
-
5. Slippery floors
On tile and hardwood, a light hold on the rear handle steadies the hips while your dog finds its feet.
-
6. Off the couch
Hold the rear handle so your dog can step down from the couch or bed instead of jumping.

Two Handles Beat One Towel
Good Leverage harness
- Supports the chest and both back legs
- Two handles: the load is split between both hands
- Sized by chest measurement, adjustable
- Padding where it presses
- Belly open: stays on for bathroom trips
A towel or belly sling
- Lifts the belly, not the back legs
- One grip, usually bent over
- Slips and bunches as your dog moves
- Presses on the bladder
- Comes off for every bathroom trip
A towel is free and a belly sling costs about $35. If your dog only needs a little help now and then, either can be enough.
How to Measure Your Dog
It takes a minute and a soft tape. Get this right and the harness fits the first time.
- 01
Chest
Measure around the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs.
- 02
Through the coat
Push the tape through the fur until it sits flat on the skin. A reading over a fluffy coat leaves the harness too loose.
- 03
Snug, not tight
Pull it snug and read the number. Choose by chest first, then check the neck and back length.
No soft tape? Wrap a piece of string around the chest, mark where it meets, then lay it along a ruler.

Labradors and Golden Retrievers. Labrador males usually measure 30–35 in (75–90 cm) around the chest, Golden Retriever males 30–37 in (75–95 cm). That's our XL. Measure anyway, because coat and build vary a lot from dog to dog.
Between two sizes? Choose the larger one, as the maker recommends. If it turns out wrong, the size exchange is free.
No weight limit is listed. The maker sizes this harness by measurements only, so go by the chest, not the scale.
How to Put It On
Four steps, one person. Written for doing it alone.
-
Step 1
Chest piece first
With your dog lying down or sitting, put the chest piece on and fasten it around the chest.
-
Step 2
Loops around the back legs
Wrap a padded loop around each back thigh and click the buckles shut. The belly stays open.
-
Step 3
Snug the straps
Tighten the chest and leg straps until two fingers fit underneath. The back strap should lie flat along the spine.
-
Step 4
Lift with your legs
Bend your knees, take the front handle in one hand and the rear in the other, and stand up together.
Frequently Asked Questions
Contact usWill it fit a thick-coated dog?
Yes, as long as you measure through the coat. Push the tape down to the skin before you read it. A measurement taken over the fur makes the harness too loose to be safe.
How do I measure through fur?
Part the coat with your fingers at the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs, and slide the tape underneath until it sits flat on the skin. Pull it snug and read the number. See the size guide.
Can my dog pee with it on?
Yes. The belly is fully open between the front and rear pieces, so you don't need to take it off for bathroom trips.
Can I leave it on all day?
No. Use it for getting up, the stairs, the car and bathroom trips, and take it off when your dog lies down to rest. Steady pressure over bony points can cause sores.
My dog is very big. Will the XL fit?
The XL fits a chest of 30.2–37.8 in (76.7–96 cm). The maker doesn't list a weight limit, so go by the chest measurement. If your dog's chest is bigger than 37.8 in, this harness isn't the right fit. Ask us before you order.
How long does shipping really take?
7–14 days from the day you order. Each harness ships directly from our supplier, and there's no express option right now. Shipping is free.
What if I order the wrong size?
Tell us within 60 days of delivery and we'll send the right one. The size exchange is free, because sizing is the thing people most often get wrong.
